Why It Matters
By using the I CARE channel, every individual at Aleatica contributes to upholding the integrity and ethical standards that define our company. This reflects our shared responsibility to protect Aleatica from any actions that could harm its reputation or operations.
The Compliance Department at Aleatica responds to reports by acknowledging receipt and, if needed, requesting additional information. If an investigation is warranted, an investigating officer is appointed, who involves necessary areas and may implement precautionary measures. In 2023, Aleatica emphasized the use of the I CARE channel, ensuring confidentiality and non-retaliation, particularly during Compliance Week. A total of 153 reports were received in 2023.
Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
Aleatica Mexico is fully committed to complying with all applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) laws and regulations. We conduct business exclusively with third parties engaged in legitimate activities, ensuring that all funds are derived from lawful sources.
As a regulated entity under Mexico’s Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Operations with Illicit Proceeds, Aleatica Mexico takes proactive measures to prevent money laundering. Specifically, our operations involving the automatic toll collection system for travel on toll highways are subject to strict reporting requirements.
- Monthly Reporting: Aleatica Mexico reports monthly to the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. This includes data on the number of cards issued and monitoring cases where customers exceed the legally permitted deposit limits.
Zero Tolerance for Corruption
At Aleatica, we enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy against corruption in all its forms. This applies to every operation and interaction, whether internal or external, with public or private entities. Our Compliance Department ensures that all employees undergo mandatory Anti-Corruption training, reinforcing our commitment to legal compliance and international best practices.
