Due diligence Human Rights

In 2022, we conducted an institutional diagnosis on Human Rights in some of the Business Units in Mexico with case studies. The study had two objectives:
  1. To evaluate the impact of Aleatica’s operations on Human Rights issues.
  2. To evaluate the maturity level of their management processes in order to facilitate a corporate human rights due diligence procedure at the operational level.
Based on the analysis and using a comprehensive approach, we identified areas for improvement in the following categories:
  • Employees
  • Communities
  • Suppliers
  • Other stakeholders with whom we interact

A total of 31 impact hypotheses connected to eight globally acknowledged human rights were identified. The majority of the adverse impacts found are potential in nature (20 out of 31), meaning that they have not yet manifested but are likely to do so according to the evidence and context of the company’s operations.
